Dear Members of IFSO EC,
I am reaching out to you to extend an invitation to the integrated health professionals to apply for membership in the Integrated Health Committee of the European Chapter of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO EC).
The IFSO EC IH Committee is dedicated to advancing the field of bariatric surgery and metabolic disorders through the integration of multidisciplinary approaches. Our goal is to foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient care, education, and research. Our ultimate goal is to optimize health related outcomes after bariatric surgery and to improve patient experience.
We believe that the expertise and insights of integrated health professionals, including dietitians, psychologists, nurses, exercise specialists, and other allied health practitioners, are vital to achieving our mission. By joining the IFSO EC IH Committee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the global dialogue on best practices, participate in the development of guidelines and standards, and collaborate with leading experts from around the world.
We kindly request that you share this invitation with your IH colleagues and encourage those who are passionate about advancing integrated health in bariatric surgery to apply. The application process is straightforward, and we are looking for dedicated professionals who are eager to make a meaningful impact.

We encourage applicants to submit a letter of intent and a brief CV highlighting their relevant experience and contributions to the field.
Applicant should:
- Be an IFSO IH member in good standing.
- Have been active in integrated health within their national society or at international level.
- Have demonstrated a history of leadership and effective service.
- Have been actively engaged in the practice of metabolic and bariatric surgery.
- Have the appropriate and recognised qualification.
- Be able to attend and actively participate in online committee meetings and activities.
- Be able to take on an area of responsibility agreed with the committee and report back at meetings.
