Emergency Room Poster
The poster has been developed to assist Acute Care Physicians in the assessment and management of our post bariatric patients. In addition to general symptoms and side effects of the most commonly performed procedures, attention is paid to the short-term complications of the surgical treatment of obesity, as well as the long-term complications.
The poster has been adapted for Europe from the original Dutch version of this poster. The members of the IFSO European Chapter’s Multinational Advisory Group, which includes renowned and highly valued colleagues from over Europe, have considered the content of the poster. After that, the poster has been reviewed and approved by the Executive Committee of the Chapter.
The poster should provide physicians working in acute care or in an emergency room with the most basic information to treat patients with a bariatric history in a timely and adequate manner, at the point of care.
